The Canyon Comanches waltzed into their matchup Wednesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They managed a 60-56 victory over El Dorado. Given Canyon's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while El Dorado is ranked 263rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Jaden Goodall, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it nine consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Canyon's points. Another player making a difference was Staf Yilmazturk, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.

Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Hendrix, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Natividad, who scored 14 points.
Canyon has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for El Dorado, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.
