Hudson is 9-1 against Cairo-Durham since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Bluehawks will take on the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. Cairo-Durham took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Hudson, who comes in off a win.
Hudson took a loss when they played away from home on Sunday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over Catskill. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bluehawks have posted since April 10th.

Hudson let Eli Conte and Joe Simmons run wild. Conte got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run, while Simmons got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Simmons a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Cairo-Durham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-11 heartbreaker at the hands of Germantown. On the bright side, the 11- run performance marked the Mustangs' highest-scoring matchup to date.
Jacob Young and Logan Walz were huge no matter where they played even without the win. On the mound, Young pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Walz struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Young also tossed no walks, which is notable because Cairo-Durham is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-8 otherwise. At bat, Young went 3-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs, while Walz got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs.
In other batting news, Peter Jobson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Hudson pushed their record up to 10-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Cairo-Durham, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
