The Arbor View Aggies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Las Vegas Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Arbor View suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They were dealt a 92-29 defeat at the hands of Centennial. While losing is never fun, Arbor View can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Centennial is ranked second).
Despite their defeat, Arbor View saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Talyiah Mckinney, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Las Vegas, who are still winless after their 13th matchup. They were outmatched by Bishop Gorman at home and fell 73-17. Las Vegas was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-6.
Arbor View has fallen quite a ways from their 16-7 record last season and are now at 5-8. As for Las Vegas, they bumped their record down to 0-13 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
