After only two runs in their last game, Hampshire made sure to put some runs up on the board against Crystal Lake South on Monday. The Whip-Purs never let the Gators get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory. The Whip-Purs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by seven runs or more this season.

Hampshire's win bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Crystal Lake South, they dropped their record down to 0-15 with the loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Hampshire and Crystal Lake South could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Whip-Purs will square off against Huntley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (119 vs. 30). Meanwhile, Crystal Lake South (ranked 478th) will meet Crystal Lake Central (ranked 77th) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
