The Bellbrook Golden Eagles put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 52-45 victory over Ross.
When it comes to explaining why Ross lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lanie Lipps. Despite the final result, she scored 24 points. Lipps scored a full 53.3% of Ross' points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Myah Boze, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Bellbrook pushed their record up to 4-0 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Ross, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.
Bellbrook will head out on the road to face off against Mount Notre Dame at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Mount Notre Dame knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Bellbrook likes a good challenge. Ross will be home for the holidays to greet Monroe at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. Monroe will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 406th, while Ross is ranked 182nd).
