In what's become a running theme this season, the Marcus Marauders gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They never let Plano onto the board and left with a 3-0 win. Three seems to be a good number for Marcus as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Mason Einspahr and
Aidan Henle, who scored all three of Marcus' goals. The pair have combined for a total of seven so far this season.
The victory (which was Marcus' third in a row) raised their record to 9-2-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three contests. As for Plano, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5-4.
Marcus will be playing at home against Plano East at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Plano East's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Plano, they will head out on the road to square off against Coppell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Plano will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 117th, while Coppell is ranked 24th).
