Timnath is 0-1 against Weld Central since October of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Timnath Cubs will head out on the road to face off against the Weld Central Rebels at 7:00 p.m. Timnath is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
Last Thursday, Timnath lost to Sterling at home by a decisive 28-10 margin.
Meanwhile, Weld Central's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 30-6 loss at the hands of Brush.
The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Marcello Rossi and Ritchie Bruno. Bruno had a great game and rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Rossi was balling out in the loss, gaining 222 total yards.
The losses dropped Timnath to 2-5 and Weld Central to 3-4.
Timnath was taken down by Weld Central 47-17 when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Can Timnath avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
