If the Sterling Rangers were riding high off their 58-35 takedown of the Nederland Bulldogs on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Sterling was outmatched by Crosby on the road and fell 69-26. Sterling was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-11.
Crosby was led to victory by Emori Lasalle and Lamaya Clark. Lasalle scored 18 points along with seven rebounds, while Clark scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Clark set a new season high mark in blocks with three. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Zapata, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Sterling's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Crosby, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Sterling will be home for the holidays to greet Lee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crosby, they will head out on the road to face off against Port Neches-Groves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
