Fairfield has been on a difficult stretch since their win on September 15. They fell just short of the Northwest Mohawks by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Fairfield couldn't quite close it out.

Blake Walters and Easton Zink scored both of Fairfield's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Fairfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-12-3. As for Northwest, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6-1 record this season.

Fairfield will take on Western in a tournament on Tuesday. As for Northwest, they are taking a road trip to take on Chesapeake at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northwest's defense better be ready for this one: Chesapeake have averaged an impressive 3.8 goals per game this season.
