Avery Griffin turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than three walks surrendered on Tuesday. She struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Thanks to that strong showing, she's now averaging 5.1 strikeouts per game.

Griffin and Brunswick Academy will welcome Nansemond-Suffolk Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Griffin had to take a loss the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their match back in April of 2024 7-1.
