Kyle Shaw posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. He struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Shaw's strong effort led Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy over Elyria Catholic and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
