The Redmond Mustangs lost against the Bothell Cougars back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Redmond was outmatched by Bothell at home and fell 80-39. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Redmond in their matchups with Bothell: they've now lost seven in a row.
Redmond lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Iha Kasam, who scored 16 points. The matchup was Kasam's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sofia Locati, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Redmond's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Bothell, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Woodinville the next time they take the court. Redmond will host Woodinville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Bothell will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
