Arlington was the  60-24 winner over South Grand Prairie when they last played one another  back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Colts lost to the Warriors on the road  by a   48-31 margin on Friday. The loss was the Colts' first of the season.

 Special teams  played a big role in the game for Arlington, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  Reviere, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
  Josiah Lucas had another great game (as  he tends to do), rushing for 223 yards and four  TDs while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also picking up 43 receiving yards and one  score for South Grand Prairie. Lucas' longest rush was for an incredible 90 yards.  Daylon Brooks was another key player, rushing for 75 yards and one  touchdown on only seven carries.
Arlington's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for South Grand Prairie, the  win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
 Looking ahead, after each having a week off, Arlington and Sam Houston will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 10th. The Colts are facing the Texans at the right time seeing as the Texans are stuck on  a  four-game losing streak. As for South Grand Prairie, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lamar at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 10th. The Vikings will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more  points each  contest than the last.
