Peach County will face off against Dougherty at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Peach County sitting on 18 straight wins and Dougherty on five.
On Saturday, Peach County needed a bit of extra time to put away Ware County. They were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Gators. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 games by six runs or more this season.

On the hitting side, Xavion Childs and Zion Hudson did most of the damage at the plate: Childs scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Hudson scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those three runs gave Childs a new career-high. Scout Willingham was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-6.
Peach County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Dougherty made easy work of Monroe last Thursday and carried off an 18-3 victory. The Trojans are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the eighth contest they've won by 6+ runs this season.
Jayden J Miller made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Miller was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing six bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.4 stolen bases per game.
In other batting news, Marcus Heath was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He also brought in two RBI, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kameron Knighton, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Peach County pushed their record up to 23-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Dougherty, their record is now 12-3.
Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Peach County has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .525.
