Chariho is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: South Kingstown, who was ranked 21st at the time (Chariho was ranked ninth). The Chargers put the hurt on the Rebels with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now won eight in a row.
Chariho walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-20, 25-15, 25-17.

Chariho got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaxson Vachon out in front who had 19 digs and one assist. Vachon has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last nine times he's played.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Cranston West took on Bishop Hendricken on Tuesday. The Falcons came up short against the Hawks, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost four in a row.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15, 25-21.
Cranston West's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Chariho, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's match: Chariho has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.3 aces per game. However, it's not like Cranston West struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.9 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
