Westwood can attribute much of their success to Colton Foster, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Foster scored 15 or more points. Marquan Burgess was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
Even though South Fork has not done well against Okeechobee recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. South Fork slipped by Okeechobee 37-36. Given South Fork's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while Okeechobee is ranked 292nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Westwood's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-13. As for South Fork, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
