Basketball Recap: Jordan Sepulveda's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Moon Valley over Flagstaff

Moon Valley lost against Flagstaff back in December of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Moon Valley Rockets fell 50-41 to the Flagstaff Eagles. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Rockets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jordan Sepulveda, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 10 points and four steals. Those four steals gave Sepulveda a new career-high. Elias Tenorio was another key player, going 5 of 8 on his way to 10 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Flagstaff to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tayshawn Bahe, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 10 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Andersen, who posted six points and six rebounds.

Moon Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Flagstaff, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Moon Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-57 loss against Shadow Mountain on the 27th. As for Flagstaff, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-53 victory against Estrella Foothills on the 27th.
