It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Longwood Panthers can now relate to. They took a serious blow against the Broncos on Tuesday, falling 111-30. While losing is never fun, Longwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 537th, while the Broncos are ranked 25th).
Kenwood's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Devin Cleveland, who scored 27 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cleveland has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rajan Roberts, who scored 22 points along with six assists and five steals.
Longwood are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10. As for Kenwood, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-6.
Longwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kenwood will be playing at home against the Bengals at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bogan is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
