The Big Valley Cardinals will be playing at home against the Burney Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Big Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Burney likes a good challenge.
Big Valley put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They claimed a resounding 50-6 victory over Westwood on the road.
Meanwhile, Burney unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were beaten by Tulelake 56-18.
Kyle Noah put forth a good effort for the losing side as he threw for 151 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Big Valley is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which somehow isn't as good as their 7-1 record this season. As for Burney, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Big Valley skirted past Burney 24-22 in their previous matchup back in August. Does Big Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Burney turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
