The Dove Creek Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Antonito Trojans at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Dove Creek's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
On Tuesday, Dove Creek made easy work of Dolores and carried off a 12-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won three in a row.
Cael Beanland was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Beanland was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Dove Creek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Antonito, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-5 win over Non Varsity Opponent on Monday.
Like Dove Creek, Antonito also got a great game from a two-way player: Rylan Trant. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. With that strong performance, Trant is now averaging an impressive 5.3 strikeouts per game. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Octavian Martinez was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with six stolen bases and two RBI. Shyanne Martinez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
The victory got Dove Creek back to even at 7-7. As for Antonito, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.
Dove Creek took their victory against Antonito in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 20-2 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
