After losing to Livingston Academy the last time they met, Upperman decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Everything went Upperman's way against Livingston Academy on Friday as they made off with a 21-0 victory. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Upperman had established a 21-0 advantage.
Senior Blake Metzgar and junior Donoven McCAllister were among the main playmakers for Upperman as the former rushed for 91 yards and 2 touchdowns and the latter accumulated 134 passing yards and picked up 39 yards on the ground. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse junior Caden Nash, who racked up 12 tackles.
The win bumped Upperman's record up to 4-0. The loss dropped Livingston Academy back to even at 2-2.
Upperman will look to defend their home turf next week against Cannon County at 7:00 PM. Upperman have bulldozed their previous 3 opponents, so Cannon County might have their hands full. Livingston Academy will stay at home against Stone Memorial at 7:00 PM.
