Despite the loss, Jeff Davis saw an underclassman step up: Elijah Tobler scored ten points. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for him. Malachi Smith was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Atkinson County, who are still winless after their seventh contest. They took a 58-42 bruising from McIntosh County Academy on Saturday. That's two games in a row now that Atkinson County has lost by exactly 16 points.

Jeff Davis barely slipped by Atkinson County in their previous meeting last Friday, winning 49-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jeff Davis since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
