Basketball Recap: Jabari Washington Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Stoneman Douglas

After losing to Stoneman Douglas the last time they met, Plantation decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Plantation Colonels walked away with a 72-60 victory over the Stoneman Douglas Eagles on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Colonels.

Plantation's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jabari Washington, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. The contest was Washington's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Exis, who posted 19 points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Plantation is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.6 points per game.
