The Escalante Moquis waltzed into Wednesday's contest with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Pinnacle with points to spare, taking the game 43-24. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Escalante also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2021.
Despite the loss, Pinnacle still got an impressive performance from Jostyn McLean, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. McLean scored a full 62.5% of Pinnacle's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Kaydence Romero was another key contributor, scoring 2 points along with 9 steals.
Escalante's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Pinnacle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
Escalante is on the road again on December 16th and play against Grand County at 3:00 p.m. on December 16th. As for Pinnacle, they will take on Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
