Followers of Spirit Lake probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.
Spirit Lake started the contest off right with 24 first-half points. Sioux Center came up with 13 to make it 24-13 heading into the break. The Spirit Lake defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the game. The win bumped their record up to 5-0. The loss dropped Sioux Center's record to 1-3.
Spirit Lake will stay at home next week against Lincoln Central at 7:00 PM. Spirit Lake have bulldozed their previous four opponents, so Lincoln Central might have their hands full. Sioux Center will look to defend their home turf against Okoboji at 7:00 PM.
