The South Fremont Cougars had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 58-57 win over Sugar-Salem. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Brianne Bailey was her usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with five steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of South Fremont's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Christensen, who scored nine points along with three steals.
South Fremont's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-7. As for Sugar-Salem, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-8.
South Fremont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sugar-Salem also has no future games currently scheduled.
