The Franklin Patriots were the 43-26 winner over the Mott Corsairs when they last played one another back in November of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Franklin might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 41-34 to Mott, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Franklin has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Kalieb Osborne, who rushed for 218 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.9 yards per carry, and also threw for 303 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.5% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Geno Seets, who picked up 193 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Franklin has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Mott, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.
Franklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mott will head out on the road to face off against Seaholm at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Seaholm is on a six-game streak of home wins, Mott a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
