Basketball Game Preview: South Bend St. Joseph Huskies vs. Knox Redskins

The South Bend St. Joseph Huskies will take on the Knox Redskins in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Knox took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on South Bend St. Joseph, who comes in off a win.

South Bend St. Joseph took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They strolled past South Bend Adams with points to spare, taking the game 55-39.

Kenadie Schrock continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 of 14 on her way to 20 points and five steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Parker, who posted six points along with six boards and four steals.

Meanwhile, Knox was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 71-30 loss at the hands of Bremen. While losing is never fun, the Redskins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while the Lions are ranked 65th).

South Bend St. Joseph's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Knox, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.

South Bend St. Joseph strolled past Knox in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 54-37. Will South Bend St. Joseph repeat their success, or does Knox have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
