Meanwhile, Landstown suffered their biggest defeat since October 10, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to First Colonial. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Landstown was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-23, 25-12.
Landstown's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Kellam, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's match: Kellam has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 13.5 aces per game. However, it's not like Landstown struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.2 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Kellam took their victory against Landstown in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
