The Neumann Celtics put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 60-20 win over Community School of Naples at home. Considering Neumann has won six games by more than 27 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Neumann found their leader in underclassman Hailey Scheffler, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and seven steals. That's the first time this season that Scheffler pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddy Donahue, who scored ten points along with six steals.
Neumann's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Community School of Naples, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4-1.
Neumann will head out on the road to face off against Horizon at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Community School of Naples won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Donahue Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on December 15th. Hopefully Donahue Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Wednesday.
