After having lost a blowout in their previous game against First Baptist Academy, The Lemon Bay Manta Rays were happy to have found some success on Friday. They walked away with a 26-18 win over Booker. For Lemon Bay, this counts as revenge for the 33-22 defeat Booker walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2022.
Joseph Scott went supernova for Lemon Bay, rushing for 249 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.4 yards per carry, and also picking up 65 receiving yards. Scott's longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards.
Although Booker took the loss, they still got scores from Takurian Smith, Ahmad ?tooda? hunter, and Joshua Burrows.
Lemon Bay's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Booker, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.
Lemon Bay will head out on the road to face off against North Port at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Port is on a four-game streak of home wins, Lemon Bay a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Booker will take on Lakewood Ranch at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
