It was a good run, but Central Montcalm unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Tri County Area Vikings by a score of 7-6. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Central Montcalm's loss dropped their record down to 21-6. As for Tri County Area, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-13.

Central Montcalm has already played their next match (against Lake Fenton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Tri County Area will be paying especially close attention to the Hornets' game: after the Hornets face off against the Blue Devils, they'll take on Tri County Area again at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
