Chaminade (Mineola, N.Y.) took the final lead of the game on Saturday as
Zane Wasp kicked a field goal with less than a minute remaining, bringing the team to victory over
St. Anthony's (Melville, N.Y.) 17-16.
Michael Walsh played well for the Flyers in the victory. The senior tight end caught one touchdown. He has now scored two touchdowns on the season.
Chaminade had given up an average of 13.2 points prior to the contest. The Friars' 16 points were well below their season average of 33.4 per game.
CHS got revenge for last year's 21-13 loss to St. Anthony's with the victory.
The defeat comes as a step back for St. Anthony's, which notched a 35-8 victory over St. Joseph-by-the-Sea in its previous outing.
