Southampton is 9-1 against Windsor since June of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Indians will host the Dukes at 4:30 p.m. Windsor took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Southampton, who comes in off a win.
On Tuesday, Southampton got the win against Sussex Central by a conclusive 16-5. That's two games straight that the Indians have won by exactly 11 runs.
Matthew Jarrett made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Adin Brown was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was River Barnes, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one double.
Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four contests, Windsor finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They lost 10-0 to Menchville. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Dukes, who until this game were averaging three runs allowed.
Southampton has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 15.0 runs this season. As for Windsor, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
Southampton skirted past Windsor 5-4 when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Dukes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
