The Holy Family Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Legacy Lightning at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Holy Family is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
If Holy Family beats Legacy with nine runs on Thursday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Tigers beat Niwot on Tuesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-2. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Joshua Grenzenbach tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Kaden Hopkin was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Eddie Hill, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Legacy didn't have quite enough to beat Broomfield on Tuesday and fell 5-4. The Lightning have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ethan Sanchez put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, KC Reiser was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Legacy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Holy Family, their record now sits at an identical 11-6.
Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Holy Family hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. However, it's not like Legacy struggles in that department as they've averaged .344. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
