Cross Creek has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Hephzibah Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cross Creek has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 398 points over their last six matches.
Last Friday, Cross Creek beat the Bulldogs 58-49.
Micheala Bogans continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Tahjae Hawes, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Hephzibah fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Musketeers on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 49-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Musketeers. Hephzibah has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cross Creek pushed their record up to 19-4 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Hephzibah, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
Everything came up roses for Cross Creek against the Rebels when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 72-25 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cross Creek since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
