Carnegie Vanguard had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos on Tuesday. The Rhinos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buffalos apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.
Carnegie Vanguard was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Fort Bend Marshall work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-16, 22-25, 25-16.
Coming up, Carnegie Vanguard will square off against Fort Bend Dulles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Bend Marshall, they will challenge Alief Elsik at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
