Franklin County (Frankfort, Ky.) beat Montgomery County (Mt. Sterling, Ky.) 49-19 after a solid game from
Chris Roberts, who rushed for four touchdowns.
After taking the lead on a Roberts touchdown run in the first quarter, the Flyers were up 43-6 at the half.
Franklin County expanded its lead to 38 points entering the fourth quarter. FC scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by Roberts.
The defeat comes as a step back for Montgomery County, who notched a 49-14 victory over Woodford County in its previous outing. The win was a nice bounce back for the Frankfort school, which lost to Anderson County last week, 35-21. The loss broke Montgomery County's three-game winning streak.
Montgomery County (5-4) goes up against Rowan County when they take the field next week. The Vikings enter the tilt sporting a 3-6 record for the season.
