After flying high against the Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Tigers last Friday, the Big Sandy Red Devils came back down to earth. Big Sandy was dealt a 70-28 defeat at the hands of McEwen on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Big Sandy has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Big Sandy still got an impressive performance from Garrett Cagle, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Green, who scored five points.
Big Sandy's loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-10. As for McEwen, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-3.
Big Sandy will be playing at home against Houston County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Houston County is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. As for McEwen, they will head out on the road to face off against McKenzie at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. McKenzie is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
