The Sandia Prep Sundevils will venture away from home to challenge the Ruidoso Warriors at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Sandia Prep will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
On Wednesday, Sandia Prep got the win against Bosque by a conclusive 20-2. That looming 20-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Sundevils yet this season.

Matteo Herrera was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. Sandia Prep is undefeated when Herrera posts two or more runs, but 5-10 otherwise. Landon Hardcastle was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Sandia Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bosque only posted an OBP of .286.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 19 runs the game before, Ruidoso was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They came up short against East Mountain, falling 10-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.
Sandia Prep pushed their record up to 9-10 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.6 runs over those games. As for Ruidoso, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.
Saturday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Sandia Prep has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .460. However, it's not like Ruidoso struggles in that department as they've averaged .484. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Sandia Prep skirted past Ruidoso 10-9 in their previous matchup on April 8th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sundevils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
