Softball Recap: Station Camp Gets the Win

Station Camp took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Trousdale County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Station Camp Bison sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over the Trousdale County Yellowjackets on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Bison: when they faced off against the Yellowjackets two weeks ago, they had to take a 9-2 loss.

Presley Kouba spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ansley Pitt, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ava Weis, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Station Camp's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Trousdale County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3-1.

Looking ahead, Station Camp will be playing at home against Beech at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Trousdale County, they will square off against Spanish Fort at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
