Quincy Notre Dame is a perfect 8-0 against Pittsfield since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Raiders will face off against the Saukees at 4:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Quincy Notre Dame barely beat Rushville-Industry the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Raiders blew past the Rockets 19-5 on Monday. The Raiders have beaten the Rockets the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Rockets has come to flipping the script.

Abram Wiewel

04/09/25 vs Hannibal | 3 |
04/05/25 vs Jacksonville | 3 |
04/29/24 @ Brown County | 3 |

The team relied heavily on Abram Wiewel, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Logan Sutton also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Quincy Notre Dame always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rushville-Industry only posted an OBP of .324.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pittsfield). They were the clear victors by a 22-4 margin over Augusta Southeastern on Tuesday. The Saukees might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Brody Tomhave looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits.
At the plate, Tim Hull was a standout: he scored four runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Saxe, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Pittsfield, bringing their record up to 12-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Quincy Notre Dame, their record is now 7-4.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Quincy Notre Dame has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .439. However, it's not like Pittsfield struggles in that department as they've averaged .441. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Quincy Notre Dame skirted past Pittsfield 4-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
