The North Baltimore Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the McComb Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Baltimore is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
On Monday, North Baltimore earned a 7-2 win over Upper Scioto Valley.
Brynlee Schmidt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Layla Delancy was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Leah Trout was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, McComb entered their tilt with Leipsic on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Vikings. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
McComb got a massive performance out of Hannah Sherick, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases Sherick has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hailey Ebright, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
McComb hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive contests.
North Baltimore pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for McComb, their record now sits at 7-8.
North Baltimore took their victory against McComb in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 13-2 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
