If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Charleston. On Friday they will take on Herculaneum at 7:00 PM. Charleston don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Last Friday, Charleston put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. They blew past East Prairie 49-20. The win was familiar territory for Charleston, who now have six in a row.
Meanwhile, if Herculaneum were riding high off their 30-0 takedown of Crystal City two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Herculaneum were completely outmatched, falling 0-47 to Valle Catholic.
Everything came up roses for Charleston against Herculaneum the last time the two teams met as the team secured a 50-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Charleston since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
