The L.E.A.D. Academy Lions had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against Munroe by a score of 47-38.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead L.E.A.D. Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophia Harold, who scored 16 points along with eight assists and two steals. That's the first time this season that Harold posted eight or more assists. Emily Harold was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six steals.
L.E.A.D. Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Munroe, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. L.E.A.D. Academy will take on Pensacola Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Munroe, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Lincoln at 6:30 p.m. Lincoln is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
