Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bristol walked away with it. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the New Hope-Solebury Lions on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on 12 straight.
Brianna Slack made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. Slack was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Amirah Bell was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Cayleigh Januszka, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
Bristol pushed their record up to 17-1 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for New Hope-Solebury, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7.
As of now, neither Bristol nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
