The Bergen Tech Knights lost against the Kennedy Knights back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Bergen Tech had to suffer through a rough 68-20 loss at the hands of Kennedy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bergen Tech has scored all season.
Kennedy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Yalanis Jarrett led the charge by dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 assists. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was My'Shayla Clancy, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals.
Bergen Tech bumped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.3 points per game. As for Kennedy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-4.
Bergen Tech will be playing at home against Clifton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Clifton is ranked 372nd, while Bergen Tech is ranked 377th). As for Kennedy, they will head out on the road to face off against Passaic County Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Passaic County Tech and Kennedy are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
