 The  victory was  the fourth in a row for Mullen, bringing their record up to 5-4. The  wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.0 points on average over those games. As for Rangeview, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
 Rangeview was dealt a bruising  41-6 loss at the hands of Mullen in their previous meeting  back in November of 2024. That  game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Raiders were down  28-6.
