The Farwell Steers will head out on the road to face off against the Sanford-Fritch Eagles at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Neither Farwell nor Sanford-Fritch posted many points in their last games could muster much offensive firepower in their last games.
Last Friday, Farwell had to suffer through a rough 38-7 loss at the hands of Stratford. Farwell has struggled against Stratford recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Even if they lost, Farwell's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Lucas Nicolas and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Sanford-Fritch, who are still winless after their sixth game. They took a serious blow against West Texas two Fridays ago, falling 40-7.
The losses dropped Farwell to 4-2 and Sanford-Fritch to 0-6.
Everything came up roses for Farwell against Sanford-Fritch in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 46-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Farwell since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
