The Stone Memorial Panthers lost against the White County Warriors back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Stone Memorial fell 57-50 to White County. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Stone Memorial came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while White County is ranked 215th).
Despite the loss, Stone Memorial still got an impressive performance from Cade Capps, who scored 27 points along with six rebounds. The game was Capps' 18th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Lane, who scored nine points.
Stone Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for White County, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stone Memorial will take on Livingston Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for White County, they will be playing at home against Cumberland County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cumberland County is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
